Pinky The Dolphin
-- By Chramaine Louie, 7 years oldOne night, a pink dolphin was jumping in the middle of the deep dirty sea.
It said it was too dirty to survive in this deep dirty ocean.
Humans threw garbage into the sea and it polluted the water
Fishes, big and small died. Mammals like dolphins, whales and reptiles like turtle live in the sea.
Emily who was ten, moved to a new house near to the dirty sea.
Emily was sleeping on her own bed, she breath in the smog air she started coughing and suddenly she woke up.
She peered out from her window. She saw the deep dirty sea.
Emily wished she could vacuum the dirt from the ocean.
And the water would be clean for all animals in the sea to live in.
Suddenly Emily saw something jumping up and in the water. They were pink dolphins!
Emily rushed out of her room to the beach, to see if she could
see the pink dolphins. But to her disappointment there weren’t any pink dolphins at all.
At this time one dolphin appeared in her sight and it winked and smiled at her. Emily was very surprised. She ran back and drew a picture of the pink dolphin.
That evening while she was sleeping she heard a song calling her name. She woke up and stretched out her hands but all she could see were two flippers.
The next moment Emily saw herself changed into a dolphin. She dived under the water, there were two other dolphins waiting for her. They were called Pinky and Vanassa.
Pinky brought Emily to a far away place. Vanassa taught her how to swim while Pinky showed her how to dive down under the deep blue sea.
Suddenly Emily heard a very loud noise. It was from a huge boat. The next thing Pinky felt someone holding her.
She was in danger and Pinky came to rescue her. Emily squeaked out a voice through her blowhole.
Vanassa called Pinky to swim faster and both dolphins took Emily to the dolphin city. Here Emily could see pipes adjourning from toilets of homes flashing out disgusting odor. Rubbish was everywhere. The water was creamy brown.
Emily felt difficult in breathing.
Pinky and Vanassa brought her to their grandmother. When she saw Emily she told her she had been waiting for her and wanted to show her three treasures.
The first treasure was the deep blue clean sea. Emily tasted the water. It was clean and fresh. The next moment she tasted oily slimy water. She choked and asked the grandma why they couldn’t keep the sea clean like first one. Emily told her she liked the clean water and not the oily water. The grandmother told her the clean water was the first treasure.
The grandmother showed her the second treasure. The dolphins turned invisible and they were on the Earth. They felt very hot and stuffy. Emily coughed for a long time and jumped into the water to have a big splash. Grandmother and the other dolphins disappeared. Emily got out from the water and she noticed she had turned to human again.
She stood there and tried to recollect what she had seen. Emily stood silently and called out loud the third treasure.
Do you know what is the third treasure?
It is YOU and I!
We are responsible for what we do to our Earth. We all have to pinch in to keep our Earth clean for all living creatures to live in. What can we do?
I will make posters about the earth and there is only one planet that we could live in but if we ruined this earth we will die or get sick.
You wouldn’t want to go to Mars. Do you?
